The Sukosol Hotel, Bangkok is proud to have been certified by the Thai Government as an Alternative State Quarantine hotel. As a guest, you may have questions about how your quarantine will be managed, so we have collected these here.

What happens if I test positive during my quarantine?

During your stay, your package includes Covid-19 swab tests. Should either test return positive, Piyavate Hospital staff will provide special transportation directly from the hotel to the hospital where you will be monitored under close supervision. Please note that while the tests are included, other health expenses are not covered. Should you test positive on Day 0 test, the hotel will refund 70% of your package price, and 60% should you test positive on your Day 5 test.

Will I meet other ASQ guests during my stay?

It is our intention to completely minimize all contact with other guests during your quarantine. Your transfer from the airport will be by private van directly to a special lobby we have set up within the quarantine area of the hotel. Your check-in and medical check-up upon arrival will be carried out as quickly and efficiently as possible. Once you are escorted to your room, you should not see any other guests at all.

Am I allowed out during my quarantine?

Guests are not allowed out of the quarantine area of the hotel until after they have completed their quarantine. The Thai Government is updating the regulations regarding when guests with negative results are allowed to spend time in isolated recreation areas within the quarantine area, so this will depend on the very latest updates from the Ministry of Public Health.

Are there any extra costs involved in my quarantine?

Your package is designed to be all-inclusive, without the need to pay any additional costs. However, we offer a variety of additional services that do incur extra costs, such as laundry of clothing. Should you wish to order extra food on top of your three meals per day, there may also be additional costs. Please note that laundry services are not available for guests from the UK or Africa, due to Thai government restrictions.

When do I receive my booking confirmation letter?

We require prepayment in full to confirm your booking. Once this payment is received, we will send you a confirmation letter.

What if my flights change or are cancelled?

Your are entitled to modify your dates at any time so should your flights be cancelled or change, please let us know and we can adjust your check-in as required without cost. Should you wish to cancel your booking completely, the hotel will refund 70% of your package price.

What food is included in my room?

Every day, you may order three meals from our extensive menu selection, including a drink with every meal. In your room, we also include a range of complimentary snacks and soft drinks, as well as coffee, tea and drinking water. Should you have any food allergies or preferences, please let us know beforehand.

Am I allowed to order food from outside the hotel?

As per the Thai Government’s guidelines, you are not allowed to have food from outside the hotel delivered to your room during your quarantine. However if you have specific requests (or cravings!), our team will certainly do everything they can to help you.

What do I need to prepare before arriving?

We recommend you download and install the Line app on your phone as this can be your primary method of communication with our team during your stay. If you prefer, you may also use the normal internal phone line. In addition, we recommend you bring books and magazines with you. For your own health and safety, we recommend you share any relevant medical information with our team beforehand so that Nurses are aware before your check-in.

Can I stay with my partner / children?

As per the Thai Government’s regulations, a quarantine room can accommodate a maximum of one adult and one child under 12 years old only. To discuss your options, please feel free to contact us directly.
